About UA Saxophone Day

This event is free and open to saxophonists of all ages!

Professor Even and Professor Pierick will present a masterclass with college students from the University of Arizona, as well as a recital. Dr. Edward Goodman will also present a recital during today’s event. High School students, as well as amateur and professional saxophonist, will then participate in the Arizona Saxophone Ensemble conducted by Dr. Edward Goodman, being open to all participants. The ensemble will present a performance at the end of the day for all of your friends and family!

 


 

Schedule

 

9:00am-10:30am: Masterclass by Ogni Suono, Holsclaw Hall

 

11:00am-12:00pm: Recital by Edward Goodman, Holsclaw Hall

 

12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch period – On your own

 

Exhibits open during lunch, Green Room 114A. Today’s exhibit is made possible thanks to D’Addario, Yamaha, and Instrumental Music Center.

 

1:00pm-3:00pm: Saxophone Ensemble Rehearsal, Room 232

 

3:00pm-3:45pm: Artist Clinic, “Chamber Music ,” Room 232

 

4:00pm-5:00pm: Recital by Ogni Suono, Room 146

 

5:00pm-5:30pm: Dinner period – On your own

6:00pm-7:00pm: Farewell Concert, Arizona Saxophone Ensemble, Holsclaw Hall

 


To register, please email Dr. Edward Goodman, edgoodman@email.arizona.edu, with your name, age, and which saxophone (soprano, alto, tenor, or baritone) you will be performing on in the Arizona Saxophone Ensemble!
